Make Up 101
While it's always nice to spend some time creating a great look, it's not always feasible so here are a few tips to incorporate in your beauty routine for an every day, but put-together look. Ways that can also help you get ready quicker without compromising your beauty routine.
Health & Beauty
As we age, dark circles, wrinkles and uneven skin tone are some of the most common issues we face. Some of the causes are due to stress, aging, less care and improper diet. Be sure to rejuvenate your skin and hide the dark circles by getting proper rest and take Vitamin C rich contents like orange, lemon, cucumber for having a soothe effect. Drink lots of water and cleanse your face daily. You can use BB creams, toners, moisturizers and concealers to smooth out wrinkles and cover up blemishes. If you wear makeup daily exfoliate at least every other day and NEVER go to bed without removing your makeup. This helps to unclog pores and remove dead skin. Cleanse and moisturize your skin very gently, thus protecting your skin from harsh rashes. Natural care cannot be over some by any product, do provide proper nutrition, eat dry fruits, green vegetables, vitamin c rich food, and quit any bad habits like smoking. Always use sunscreen lotion when you go out in sun and use lip balm or chap stick to protect your lips from becoming chapped and dry.
What foundation and concealer should I use?
Foundation and concealer are very important. They create a blank canvas for the rest of your makeup and even out skin discoloration. It is very important that you know whether you have oily or dry skin as some foundations are oil based for dry skin and others are water based for oily skin. Using the right foundation along with the right toner or moisturizer helps to prevent and or keep breakout to a minimum. If you prefer lighter application, a tinted moisturizer is a double duty product that shaves minutes off your 'getting ready' time. If you still want to use foundation, one trick I love to use to get that airbrushed feel is to apply foundation with a damp sponge it goes on quicker and smoother. A stippling brush is also a great way to apply foundation as it applies liquid and cream foundations perfectly. The stippling brush ensures a gorgeous, sheer finish and even, streak-free application with this stippling brush that complements any foundation.
Fresh Face and Basic makeup
Natural beauty has its own value .Sometimes makeup may feel a little heavy especially on a hot summers day. We may not always want a full face of makeup but may want to just cover up some of our blemishes while enhancing our very own natural features. Together the use of a primer and light foundation will fill up any noticeable wrinkles and pores. A great moisturizer or BB cream works well also. The beauty of eyes adds more beauty to your face automatically. But make sure you do not over do it, use eye liner and mascara for a vibrant look but in a sophisticated subtle way. The perfect Lip gloss is always a must. A nude lip color and soft pinks are always the best way to go.
What Eyeshadow Should I Wear?
So you want to wear eye shadow but you’re not sure what color will look best with your eye color. Even though some say that you should coordinate your eye shadow with your clothing, you should also pay attention to your actual eye color as well. You want your eyes to be accented in the most flattering way possible, right? Well the best way to achieve this is to remember to have fun with your eye shadow and it shouldn't be a bothersome and daunting process. A general rule of thumb with eye shadow is to first compliment your eye color and then it shouldn't contrast your clothing. You should try to keep your clothing and eye shadow in the same or color family, or at least a complimentary family. And finally, remember that sometimes less is more. Don't add 4 layers of green eye shadow on your brown eyes, thinking that it will look great. Remember the key to eye shadow is … blending. So whether you use your finger, makeup brushes or a sponge, make sure to blend it well.
Little Black Dress
Date Night? If you want to look super-sexy, there’s nothing better than a seriously smoked-out eye. the smoky eye makeup is no longer limited to just grays, charcoals, silvers, etc. Now, you can create that sultry look using the color that best suits you, whether it's blue, purple or an earthy tone. Once you discover your most perfect eye shadow shade, add even more sex appeal by adding strip lashes or pop a few false lashes onto the outer corner of the eyes. For that sexy yet classy lips finish it all off by using pink, peach or red hot lip color. The red lip is back in action and can be worn with any look, from day to night. It will surely give you a trendy, bold, smooth and vibrant look, making you look and feel glamorous in your little black dress. Blushing on your cheeks must match your eye color, with a little bit brightness to make them elegant. You can also go for some other shades like pink or skin color highlights are also a plus for luminous glowing skin.
Mascara
Even when I try to keep a natural look, mascara is one of my go-to products. Since no one wants to walk around with spider legs for eyelashes, there are a few ways to apply mascara without spending much time adding coat after coat. One of the best ways to enhance your eyelashes is to give them a quick curl before you apply mascara - this opens up your eye and amps up the lashes in just a few seconds.
